SVHS Homecoming rescheduled for November 3

Sonoma Valley High School welcomed students back to campus Monday. By providing appropriate social and emotional supports to students, as well as school supplies for displaced students, school administration believe SVHS is returning to a sense of normalcy for its students.

An important element is the annual Homecoming tradition. Postponed because of the fires, Homecoming week is now scheduled for week October 30 through November 3. The annual parade down Broadway — with students, staff and the class floats – will begin at 1 p.m. and culminate with a rally on Sonoma Plaza. That evening the Homecoming football game take place at 7 p.m. at Arnold Field.

At halftime, the King and Queen will be announced. The candidates are: back row, from left: Valentino Battaglini, Dominic Tommasi, Chris Bruton, Rocky Wetzel and Fabian Oseguera. Front row: Louise Murphy, Jenna Ebert, Megan James, Hailey Anguiano and Ellie Bon.

New this year will be a special Homecoming lighting of the Plaza on Wednesday night, November 1.

The SVHS Leadership class plan to honor all alumni first responders, and invite them to ride on a float during the parade on November 3. To take part, call the SVHS office at 933-4010.
