Sonoma man, 91, safe after going missing for 24 hours

The 91-year-old Sonoma man who went missing Tuesday morning has been found safe today in Placer County, the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office reported.
John Volgel left his Sonoma residence at 8 a.m. this morning March 30 in a 2004 navy blue Subaru Outback. It was not known where he was going. The Sheriff’s Office sent word today at 1:20 p.m. that he had been found in Placer County. No other details were immediately available.
