Mentoring Alliance names Gallo to top spot

Susie Gallo is the new the new executive director of the Sonoma Valley Mentoring Alliance, the nonprofit that matches adult volunteers with students of local schools.

“During these unusual times, Valley youth need our support more than ever as their daily lives have changed in countless ways,” said Gallo. The Sonoma resident comes to the Mentoring Alliance after six years as director of operations at NapaLearns, an education nonprofit serving Napa Valley public schools.

She replaces Lee Morgan-Brown, who announced her departure earlier this year after five years as the ED.

Board President said he was thrilled to have Gallo in the role, “to provide strong leadership as we enter our 25th year and face new challenges.”

Gallo has experience in sales and marketing for Harvard University Press and the University of California Press.

At NapaLearns, Gallo worked with donors and superintendents to bring innovation to county classrooms. Her resume includes sales and marketing for Harvard University Press and the University of California Press.
