No more free Covid tests in Sonoma Valley

Posted on July 29, 2020 by Sonoma Valley Sun

The Sonoma Valley Community Health Center will not resume Covid testing. The service was halted in mid-July because of a processing delay at the overloaded testing lab, but the SVCHC now says the program, which offered free, drive-up tests at two Sonoma Valley sites, has ended.

Testing is still available in the area, but only to people with symptoms, and by appointment only.

The SVCHC continues to test pre-qualified symptomatic patients, according to Maricarmen Reyes, SVCHC Outreach & Event Coordinator. Likewise at Sonoma Valley Hospital, where the test is by physicians order.

The company Optumserve offers tests by appointment at its locations in Santa Rosa and Petaluma.https://lhi.care/covidtesting. 1-888-634-1123 Ext. #8. CORE/Verily Lab in Napa, also. Call 253-4520.

Some CVS stores are testing. Register at https://www.cvs.com/minuteclinic/covid-assessment
