Sonoma Valley Hospital will host a virtual Community Townhall meeting on Tuesday, January 12, 11:30 a.m., to explain how the COVID-19 vaccine will be made available to the public.

SVH has begun vaccinating its physicians and staff, administering 323 first doses of the two-dose process. The second dose will be delivered the week of January 11.

A box of Covid vaccine rolls into the Sonoma County Department of Health Services for storage at -70 degrees.

Led by Dr. Sabrina Kidd, SVH Chief Medical Officer and UCSF Medical Director for Sonoma Valley the virtual session will be simultaneously presented in Spanish.

Dr. Kidd said the initial round of vaccine, to staff and allied workers, has gone smoothly. “We are pleased to report that the vaccine has been very well tolerated with no contrary reactions and only minimal site reactions,” she said.

The presentation will be led by Dr. Sabrina Kidd, There will be ample time for questions following the presentation and the community is welcome to submit questions ahead of time to the hospital at community@sonomavalleyhospital.org, or by calling 707.935.5257.
