A wee bit of a mystery

Murder by hayfork? Bob Smith and Anne Petersen are among the ensemble cast of Spreading The News, a one-act play to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at Murphy’s Irish Pub.

The 19th-century Irish play will be offered Dinner Theater style on Sunday and Monday, March 13-14 at 6 p.m. Directed by Todd Evans, who calls the says the comedy “shows how a wee bit of gossip can mushroom into the likes of a murder mystery,” the work features seven actors 10 roles.

Seven actors play 10 roles in this rollicking one-act play in the Courtyard of Murphy’s Irish Pub. This is Dinner Theater – enjoy a delicious meal, choice of three entrees, and all the theatrics.

Performing the reading are Bob Smith, Kate Kennedy, Peadar Dalton, Anne Petersen, Rich Thompson, Chris Wall, Luba Markoff,with Irish ballads by Jim Fitzgerald.
