The kitchen crew for Sonoma Overnight Support, working out of Springs Community Hall, has of today served 60,140 meals this year, far eclipsing the 50k figure of 2021.
It is a sobering milestone and a dramatic increase, says Kathy King, SOS executive director.
“I am so proud of the staff and the community that supports feeding the hungry, the homeless and the food derived,” she said, “people who just cannot make ends meet in this economy.”
“I’m happy that we can provide for those in need.”
