Sonoma Valley Hospital has released its 2022 Community Report

With the theme ‘We Are That Future,’ Sonoma Valley Hospital has released its 2022 Community Report. CEO John Hennelly introduces the document with this introduction:

“We are what the original visionaries of the hospital years ago dedicated themselves to achieve. We are that future and are already creating the next future now. Every day the team at Sonoma Valley Hospital works on the future. Governed by our mission to provide the best medical services possible to the residents of the Sonoma Valley, we imagine and then we develop strategies and resources to achieve new and better services.

“We’ve done this successfully with the completion in August of the Outpatient Diagnostic Center (ODC), providing access to cutting edge technology with the new Computerized Tomography Scanner (CT Scan). Recently we did it with our new electronic health record, EPIC, which starting in December, gives you access to your medical records here at SVH through MyChart.

“Here at Sonoma Valley Hospital, we’ve built a leadership team that includes a new Chief Medical Officer and a Chief Nursing Officer, both who bring the kind of experience and innovation that will positively affect every patient at Sonoma Valley Hospital. We’ve evaluated our pay scale for our employees, increasing it where necessary so we could be competitive in the market and retain and attract excellent staff. We’ve fortified our affiliate relationship with UCSF, one of the top medical centers in the country, using that relationship to help us innovate our systems and services as well. Even now, more is in development.

“Within the next few years, the Sonoma Valley will have cutting edge MRI. Our appointment bookings will include more tele-health options which will provide easier access to providers. Our hospital will provide more exciting food options for our patients and visitors. Our affiliation with UCSF will lead to a partnership that further benefits SVH, making us fiscally stronger and less vulnerable to the issues facing most community hospitals. More specialty physicians will come to the Valley. This and much more lies ahead.

“It’s a great time to be a Sonoma Valley resident because you, our community members, are the beneficiaries of these incredible advances. I’m happy to be leading us into this bold future together.”
