 ‘Asi Danzan los Niños 2023’ highlights culture and community

Grupo Folklorico Quetzalen is proud to present “Asi Danzan Los Niños 2023,” an April 23 showcase concert highlighting culture and community. This production will feature over 50 talented children and teens from Sonoma Valley,  performing traditional dances from some of the most popular regions of Mexico.

“We are thrilled to showcase the talents of these amazing children and to share the richness and diversity of folk dance with our community,” said Victor Ferrer, director of the Grupo Folklorico Quetzalen.“Así Danzan Los Niños is an inspiring dance production where audiences will be delighted and transported to Mexico by the vibrant colors, captivating rhythms, and intricate footwork of folk dance.”

The event will be held at Hanna Center. Doors open at 2:30pm and concerts start at 4pm. There will be food for sale and a small pop-market before the concert. Admission is free but a $10 donation is suggested. All proceeds support Quetzalen’s after school program.

In honor of Día del Niño, (Children’s Day) children attending the concert, as they leave will receive a small toy or card game, sponsored by the Springs Municipal Advisory Council  and Sonoma Immigrant Services  The celebration will take place at Hanna Boys Center, located at 17000 Arnold Drive, Sonoma.
