The Ray Charles Project, a group of award-winning Jazz and Blues musicians including Santana vocalist Tony Lindsay, comes to the Sebastiani Theater on Sunday, November 5. The six-piece tribute band is stocked with elite players: noted Bay Area guitarist Chris Cain; Hammond B-3 player Jim Pugh; bassist DeWayne Pate and drummer Deszon Claiborne.
Lindsay (above) has 11 Grammy awards after spending two decades as lead singer of Santana, and has recorded with a range of greats including Patti Austin, Aretha Franklin, Curtis Mayfield and Steve Winwood. The 2pm show is presented by the Sonoma Valley Jazz Society. $35-$50. Sebastianitheatre.com.
