The Bay Area forecast for the middle and latter half of the workweek includes the return of dangerous heat, including here in Sonoma Valley.
A heat advisory or excessive heat warning is expected to be issued from 11 a.m. Wednesday until 8 p.m. Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
Temperatures could once again top out in the 90s to low 100s, according to the weather service. Temperatures in the state’s interior valleys could peak anywhere from the mid 90s to 110s, the weather service said.
Normal temperatures for this time of year could return by the end of the weekend, according to the weather service.
Information about cooling centers is not yet available. Both government and local non-profits offered cooling centers to the public during the past excessive heat wave, and it is likely they will do so again.
