Posted on October 17, 2024 by Sonoma Sun

In anticipation of a major wind event beginning this afternoon, PG&E has set up an emergency relief station set up at the back parking lot of the first Congregational church with device charging and help with medical devices that need power, plus snacks, other local resources,  and WiFi.

Weather forecasts call for gusty winds beginning Thursday and lasting at least overnight. In order to protect regions from wildfires caused by downed power lines, PG&E will begin shutting off power to selected locations within Sonoma Valley and other areas.
