It’s the Year of the Horse, so it’s a perfect time to look back on the valley’s favorite (in this equestrienne’s somewhat biased opinion) conveyance. It’s also a good reason to share more horse photos this year, so saddle up!
Here is Charles Baine’s horse and rig ‘parked’ at the Union Hotel (now B of A) on First Street West. This old boy and his wagon, photographed in December of 1951, was the last horse-drawn rig in Sonoma.
