An inspiring ‘Muse’

Kimberley and Simon Blattner share the spotlight as honorees at the Sonoma Community Center’s annual MUSE gala. The October 7 event, the Center’s biggest fundraiser of the year, celebrates important supports and sustainers of Sonoma’s creative community.

Everyone went above and beyond to create a fun-filled, full-heart event for all involved.

The crowd enjoyed cuisine from Elaine Bell Catering, a moving film by Ron Bowman/Let’s Go Video, musicians Adam Traum (above), Tanya Tomkins and Eric Zivian, and Ellen Tuscano (below), the  lively auctioneer.

Janet Nusbaum, the Gala Chair, led a powerful and hardworking group of community volunteers in planning and executing the magical event, said Vanessa Rognelien, SCC executive director.

“They turned the SCC grounds into a stunning venue, full of art experiences, gorgeous table settings, and mementos of the Blattner’s tastes and interests. It was a beautiful expression of all the artistic strengths of our community.”
