Sabina Rafaela González was one of three honored as “an individual making a difference” by the Sonoma County Department of Health and Human Services.
Rafaela was a founding member of the local “Promotores de Salud,” (Promoters of Health) and was selected by her peers for her leadership, teamwork and dedication to the community. She has been active on behalf of her community in Sonoma Valley and the County for over 30 years.
The honor was part of the conference, which gathered organizations involved with community health. The “Healing Together” conference included workshops, professional development and acknowledgment and celebration of the hard work of impactful individuals. Its focus was to raise consciousness about the importance of self-care for those who are constantly helping others in their community.
