The weather here in the Valley may have turned cold, but the spirit of giving is as warm as ever. This is that magical time when even the smallest gesture of goodwill – a coin in a kettle, a friendly note to a stranger – reverberates with hope and promise. Here are just a few of the acts of kindness touching lives, young and old, near and far, this wondrous season.
Eva Bundschu was excited to see Toy Story 2 at the Sebastiani Theatre on Sunday. She brought along a new stuffed teddy bear that gained her admission to the film, which was shown free of charge to anyone bringing a donation of a new, unwrapped gift for Toys for Tots. The Marines were on hand to lend their support. Here PFC Justin Erwin and Cpl. Branum Spleithof are happy to add Eva’s donation to the box.
