Archaeologists Explore Camp

Instructor George McKale is the City of Sonoma Historian and an archaeologist. He will lead campers through hands-on activities and teach about how the Miwok survived in Sonoma without stories. A unique focus each half-day with field trips and discussions related to seasonal birds seen in various Sonoma Valley habitats including owls, hawks, wetland birds and our urban songbird. One day will be dedicated to building a bluebird house for each camper to take home. There will be a field trip to the Viansa Wetlands.
