Margaret W. Bettinelli
Sonoma County matriarch Margaret W. Bettinelli, 93, passed away at her Petaluma residence the morning of October 5. She was the loving wife of the late Lester Bettinelli and devoted mother of Marilyn Mertens of Sonoma and Bill Bettinelli of Santa Rosa. Bettinelli was the dedicated grandmother of 11, great grandmother of 27 and great-great grandmother of 14, and the dear sister of Estelle Olson and Laverne Peterson, both of Petaluma.
A lifetime member of North Bay Dairy Women, she was also a member of the Oakleaves and the Bridge Club. Margaret and Les Betinelli were an original Petaluma dairy family. She enjoyed cooking and will be remembered for her many wonderful recipes.
Private family services were held Monday at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Petaluma, 416 Payran St., Petaluma, CA 94952. The family was assisted by Parent-Sorensen Mortuary & Crematory, 707.763.4131.
