A house at 89 Hawthorne Ave. burned down at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday due to flammable material being left too close to a water heater, said a statement from the Sonoma Valley Fire and Rescue Authority.
No one was injured.
Thirty firefighters in eight vehicles responded to the blaze, which completely gutted the two-story, single-family home and caused an estimated $200,000 in damage.
