Springs town hall meeting scheduled

The second in a series of town hall meetings will be held Monday evening, April 7 at the Sonoma Charter School on Highway 12 at Vailetti Drive. Open to anyone interested in learning more about the area, the event is an opportunity to hear and be heard about making life better in The Springs.
The evening’s focus will be on the area’s children and teens. A partial list of the many youth-serving organizations to be represented at the event includes the Valley of the Moon Teen Center, the Springs School Initiative, United Community Resources for Youth, Sonoma Valley Community Health Center and the Sonoma Valley Education Foundation. Springs Task Force Coordinating Committee member Sheana Davis will serve as the evening’s panel moderator. Audience participation is encouraged, and Spanish translation will be provided.
Doors open at 6 p.m. with a complimentary reception hosted by Moore Recycling Associates. Appetizers will be provided by The Epicurean Connection, with coffee donated by Barking Dog Roasters. The program and community conversation will run from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
There is no charge to attend. Child care will be provided by the Boys and Girls Club Valley of the Moon.
Future town hall meetings in The Springs are scheduled for July and October.
