Gundlach Bundschu Winery will host the final screening of its Summer Fun Film Fest, “Dazed and Confused,” on August 2 at 2000 Denmark St.
The 1993 cult classic from Richard Linklater, featuring Ben Affleck, Matthew McConaughey and Parker Posey, is set in a small town in Texas in 1976 and follows a group of students as they celebrate the last day of the school year. Upcoming seniors haze incoming freshmen, as stoners, jocks, and nerds grapple with rites of passage, all set to the hard-rock soundtrack of the 1970s.
The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. with live music from classic ‘70s rock band 963 and a barbecue. The film screening starts at dusk.
General admission for music and movie only is $10 per person (no reservation required). Music, barbecue and film is $45; and the $120 VIP package for two includes a seat in the VIP film section, wine and popcorn. For reservations for the barbecue or VIP packages, call 707.939.3019.
