With their famous Sevillano Extra Virgin Olive Oil winning Best in Show, Best of Class and a Gold Medal, The Olive Press won big at the 2008 Los Angeles International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition on June 14, winning 15 medals in all.
Gold Medals were also awarded to The Olive Press’ Sonoma Valley Blend and Arbequina (Yolo County), along with oils from Lunigiana Estate Organic, Marquesa and Jacuzzi Family Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Jaeger Family Olive Oil, a custom crushed oil, won a Gold medal as well, along with Best in Class.
Nine other medals were given out, including three Golds, two Silvers and four Bronze Medals. The Olive Press has locations at Jacuzzi Winery in the Carneros region of southern Sonoma Valley at 24724 Arnold Dr. and recently opened a store in the Oxbow Public Market in downtown Napa.
