2014 Summer Camp Guide

HANNA BOYS CENTER
Recreation, skill-building, socialization, activity and huge portions of just plain fun—that’s what the Hanna Hawks Summer Camps are designed to provide for your child! Few natural settings can match the Valley of the Moon for its sheer beauty and tranquility, and few facilities can match the recently constructed sports fields and other features that have made Hanna Boys Center and its resident Archbishop Hanna High School one of the most attractive summer camp venues in the nation.

Hanna has been conducting programs benefiting youth for more than 70 years, drawing on a rich legacy of staff experience and commitment in a uniquely beautiful environment. Boys and girls are grouped by age at camps focused on different activities throughout the summer.

Camper fees are $150 for the summer sports camps, $250 for the all-day recreation camps and $300 for the all-day combination sports and recreation camps. Hannacenter.org. 707-933-2530

PETS LIFELINE
Pet Lifeline is offering our 9th annual Summer Camp. It’s a fun and exciting way to spend a week for children who love animals. The purpose of the Camp is to educate children about the needs of animals. Each day has a theme related to animals. This is developed by a fun lesson, hands on with animals, stories, games and art activities.

Socializing kittens happens daily with a 30-minute visit in the kitten room. Dog safety is taught and reinforced with DVDs and visits with our dog handlers and well behaved dogs. Children can read to a visiting dog (or to our Shelter cat for those who prefer a feline friend.) Each week we have a guest presenter with different types of animals such as snakes, hamsters, birds, to name just a few. The week ends as the children “adopt” a stuffed animal and apply the lessons learned at Camp. Petslifeline.org.
