The Classic Sports Racing Group (CSRG) returns to Infineon Raceway Oct. 10-12 for the fifth annual CSRG Charity Challenge. This event has raised more than $367,000 for Speedway Children’s Charities, the charitable arm of Infineon Raceway, and it’s sure to be another weekend full of great racing and fun.
More than 200 competitors are expected to compete in eight different racing groups, including the Historic Grand Prix Group and the Historic NASCAR Group. Some of the cars featured will be Ferrari, Aston-Martin, Porsche, Shelby 350GT, Corvette, MG and Jaguar. Racing and qualifying will be featured on both Saturday and Sunday.
One of the more popular events of the race weekend will be the Charity Ride-Arounds. For a $75-$100 donation, competitors racing at Infineon Raceway during the weekend will take a passenger on a three-lap ride around the road course in an actual racecar. The Charity Ride-Arounds will take place on Saturday and Sunday on a first-come basis, so plan to arrive early.
For ticket information on this worthwhile and fun event, visit www.csrgracing.org or call the raceway at 800.870.RACE. All proceeds from the weekend will go to youth groups in Sonoma County.
