Mike Hyland — one of the nation’s leading music industry publicists whose clients included the Allman Brothers, Waylon Jennings and the Ryman Auditorium — died Thursday at his Sonoma home following a battle with cancer.
Mr. Hyland and his wife Phyllis relocated to Sonoma in 2009. Among his many endeavors here, he wrote a music column for The Sonoma Valley Sun from 2010 to 2013.
