Action items on the school board agenda include a look at action plans for student achievement at the local elementary schools, reviewing the 2007-08 audit, and deciding whether to eliminate a position due to insufficient funds. They will also hear the twice-yearly informational reports on Sonoma Charter School and Woodland Star Charter school.

The city’s Community Services & Environment Commission advises City Council on various environmental issues. They will evaluate a proposal for valet parking at city events and a Field of Dreams net-installation. The commission also hears sub-committee reports on transportation, greenhouse gas reduction, sustainability and community health and recreation.
