“I know it is wet and the sun is not sunny, but we can have lots of good fun that is funny.”
― Dr. Seuss, The Cat in the Hat
Dennis Krempley, husband of the late Kathy Kremperly, a beloved teacher at Dunbar Elementary School for many years, shares a story with the second grade as the part of the school’s celebration of Read Across America. The day began with a visit from The Cat in the Hat, who congratulated students for being good readers and tracking their reading minutes for a whole month. After the March 4 assembly, students returned to their classrooms for stories read by community volunteers.
