Native Sons of the Golden West, Parlor 111, gathered for its annual Surf and Turf dinner last Saturday at the Veterans Memorial Building, where they were presented with a check for $10,000 by Vintage Festival committee members. The sold-out event included a silent auction. The Native Sons of the Golden West is a long-standing social and service club of native Californians. Its mission includes both encouraging a lively interest in the history of California and helping the community, especially children.
