The Sonoma Valley Can (Community Action Network) is sponsoring a Sonoma Valley Forum for Hope and Progress on Sunday, Feb. 8 in the Springs. The session, which will take place from 1:45 to 5 p.m. at La Luz, will focus on how this new group, which is an outgrowth of the Obama campaign, can help residents make positive use of the organizational structures developed during that campaign. The forum will focus on two-way communication with national government in developing civic actions based on the needs and interests of the local community. This nonpartisan meeting is open to those who want to share their hopes and concerns and work for positive change in our community.
