St. Patrick’s Day brought out the Irish in all of Sonoma, as festivities commenced across the Valley.
Vintage House kicked off the day with a luncheon featuring traditional cuisine including corned beef and cabbage and homemade Irish soda bread. Jim Fitzgerald and Larry Murphy provided entertainment to the crowd as attendees got into the spirit of the lucky day.
Murphy’s Irish Pub proved the place-to-be for St. Patty’s Day during their jam-packed celebration. Live Celtic music by Deidre and Arias, Dockside and The Spiral Mystics kept the mood lively as locals and tourists alike enjoyed classic Irish beers, whiskeys and danced into the night.
The Sonoma Community Center also celebrated, sending one lucky attendee home with the prize of a trip to Ireland or $10,000 cash, in a raffle with the Rotary Club. Valuable second, third, and fourth place prizes kept the guests’ hopes alive, and the evening featured a traditional Irish dinner and dancing to the Rich Little Band.
