The Sonoma Valley Chamber of Commerce held its annual business expo recently at the Sonoma Valley Veteran’s Building with a crowd of approximately 500 people in attendance and more than 70 local businesses on hand to show their products and services.
“The expo featured a great mix of businesses from retail and professional to food and wine,” said Jennifer Yankovich, chamber executive director. “More than any other, this event provides lots of local networking with other businesses as well as different community members. It helps promote business as a model to shop locally and keep our economy healthy.”
Shop Sonoma was the theme of the event and locals were encouraged to explore what can be procured within the community, rather than traveling outside the Valley, thus saving time and money as well as helping stoke the local economy in the process.
“We’re really happy with the turn-out,” said Rose Jager of Sonoma Valley Signs. “This was our first event and it was great to showcase our business and the innovations we’ve made. The chamber did an excellent job of promoting the expo and it was a win-win for both businesses and the community at large.”
The expo began with a business-to-business networking event, followed by the product and service showcase.
