Dragon track teams cruise past El Molino

In a performance perhaps indicating their readiness for the post-season, the Sonoma Dragon track teams easily defeated the El Molino Lions in Forestville Wednesday.

The boys’ squad won by a meet score of 100-36 while the girls outdistanced the Lady Lions 91-42.

Winners on the boys’ side included Nathanael Hargitt in the 110 meter high hurdles (16.6), Donny Albini in the 400 meters (53.7), Jordan Jones in the 100 meters (11.5) and 200 meters (23.1) and Niko Conner in the 800 meters (2:03.8).

Other winners on the boys’ side included Ryan Dieckmann’s first place in the long jump and triple jump and 300 meter hurdles  (19’8.5”, 41’7”, 43.9), a win by Nick Spector (seen in photo at recent Woody Wilson Invitational Meet) in the 3200 meters (10:19.3), Cameron Davis at 4:45 in the 1600 meters and Ross Herder’s high jump victory with a leap of 6’.

Anna Dwyer paced the Lady Dragons with victories in the long jump and triple jump (15’5.5”, 35’5.5”) and Allison Cobb took first place in the 100 meters (13.7).

Selena Caruso won the 3200 meters (13:25), Caitlyn Silkey captured the high jump (4’6”) and Heather Keola won the shot put (31’8”).

Namiko Morales, recently added to the varsity squad, won the 800 meters (2:48.8).
