Tickets are now available for the very special June 13 event out at Gundlach Bundschu Winery. SonomaSong will be performing their show titled “Rock ‘n Roll II” for the 7th Annual Twilight and Jazz in the Vineyards, this year to benefit WillMar Center for Bereaved Children. The music will include such favorites as Proud Mary, La Bamba, C’mon Everybody, Blue Suede Shoes, and many more. The show takes place outdoors in Picnic Arbor, where guests are encouraged to bring picnics and enjoy wines from Gundlach Bundschu. A special V.I.P. package is available exclusively through the WillMar Center that includes a bottle of wine, a picnic dinner, special seating and preferred parking. WillMar can be reached at 707.935.1946 or just by stopping by at 579 First Street West.
SonomaSong is “a group of enthusiasts who love to make music together.” The group is led by Sonoma Valley Chorale veteran, Jim Griewe. Formed in 2008, the troop’s mission is to help non-profits raise funds through special events by providing exceptional entertainment. The conductor and singers receive no compensation and are a part of this non-profit for the pure joy of singing, combined with reaching out to help the community.
General admission tickets are available through members of SonomaSong, Sonoma Valley Bank, Pharmaca, and of course, the WillMar Center. The event is expected to sell out, so ensure your special night out by getting your tickets today. Look for further event details closer to show time in the regular Friday music column in The Sonoma Sun.
And just a small reminder, there is a public hearing at the Planning Commission this Thursday, May 14 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss the permits for live music at Emmy’s Spaghetti Shack. Emmy’s will be opening soon in the location previously known as Deuce. If you would like to see another venue for live music in the valley, make sure you show your support by attending the meeting, which will be held at the Police Station meeting room.
