Expect even longer delays than usual this week on Highway 12 in Fetters Hot Springs. Caltrans is replacing sewer lines and other infrastructure between Fetters and Mountain avenues, shrinking two lanes to one in order to access the task. The work is necessitated by construction of the new Valley of the Moon Teen Center across the highway from the old, and it is expected to take three days. Excavation for the project began yesterday, pipe connections will be forged today, and backfill is scheduled for Wednesday. Alternate routes are recommended.
