Sometimes workouts and a healthy lifestyle aren’t enough. For those areas of the body that don’t respond to these measures, such as cellulite on the backs of legs or “saddlebags,” there may be a way to help eliminate the problem areas with a system known as Endermologie.
Laurie Kennedy, who took over Body Technology in June, knows that certain conditions cannot be solved by exercise. Kennedy should know: she has been a competitive athlete and fitness instructor for over 20 years.
“I had cramping pains in my legs,” she said, “and I’m a weight lifter, so it was affecting my performance.” Kennedy went through a couple of sessions and obtained relief. She was so impressed with the results of the Endermologie system that she went through training and became certified in the process.
The system uses a mechanized device with motorized rollers and regulated suction that is non-invasive. It is currently the only non-invasive device approved by the FDA specifically for cellulite treatment. A series of sessions are recommended, with visible results in skin smoothing and contouring after five treatments. The treatment can be helpful in minimizing scar tissue and stretch marks and in stimulating collagen production. Clients may also use it as a version of deep tissue massage, which can relieve muscle pain.
A complementary therapy to Endermologie is the Hydrofusion Body capsule, which utilizes infrared light, steam and vibration to infuse and stimulate the skin and muscles. A hydrofusion session can enhance the effects of the Endermologie treatment. Both systems break down toxins, and Kennedy strongly suggests drinking extra water to help with the elimination of the toxins from the body.
Body Technology is currently offering new clients a free consultation.
