Sonoma County Clerk Janice Atkinson has lovebirds in mind this Valentine’s Day and is keeping the office open to issue marriage licenses and perform civil marriage ceremonies on Feb. 14 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Appointments to be married are recommended, but not required.
To expedite the process, a marriage license application can be completed online at www.sonoma-county.org/clerk. The total cost is $125 ($75 for the marriage license and $50 for the civil ceremony). At least one witness is required at the ceremony.
Appointments can be scheduled by calling the county clerk’s office at 707.565.3800.
