The Sonoma County Community Development Commission (CDC) has appointed Cas Ellena as Redevelopment Manager for the Sonoma County Community Redevelopment Agency. She joined the agency at the end of December as a redevelopment associate and was recently promoted to manager, replacing Boris Sztorch.
Ellena began her career in municipal government in 1995 with the City of Susanville, where she worked for the city administrator. Since that time, she has served in various redevelopment positions for the cities of Santa Rosa, Rohnert Park and, most recently, Winters.
Ellena holds both a B.A. and a masters degree in public administration, both from University of San Francisco.
“I am extremely fortunate to be working in such a wonderful county with such an incredible team,” said Ellena. “With this awesome team, the diligent advisory committees and the CDC, we will make great things happen in the Roseland, Sonoma Valley Springs and Russian River redevelopment project areas.”
