Mary Elizabeth Garrard

Mary Elizabeth Garrard was born July 1, 1921 in Oakland, California and passed away peacefully, August 7, 2009 in Sonoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, her parents, Harry and Anne Stearns, and her sister, Phyllis Stearns. Liz is survived by her cousin Barbara Lawlor (Brendan) of Sacramento and their three daughters, Erin MacEneaney, Katie Lawlor and Kerry Lawlor. After attending University of California, Berkeley and Heald Business College, she worked as an executive secretary for the city of Richmond for more than 30 years. Along with her husband, Liz also enjoyed being an active volunteer for the Sonoma Chamber of Commerce. Her family wishes to extend their sincerest appreciation to Hospice By The Bay for making her final days as peaceful and comfortable as possible.
