Vintage House
Help out in the Senior Social Club! Volunteer assistants are needed to help seniors participate in activities such as discussion, exercise, entertainment, pet therapy, games, arts, crafts and lunch. Days of operation are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. To make a difference, contact Michele Leonard at 525,0143 x 147 or Laurel Anderson at 935.0850.

FISH — Friends in Sonoma Helping
There are so many ways to help FISH during the holidays. Organize a canned food, blanket or coat drive at your church, school or business. Sign up to ring the bell around town for a few hours. Donate to the Clothes Closet, drop a non-perishable food item (or two) into one of the donation barrels found throughout our community, and some extra change into one of the FISH kettles. 996.0111.

Salvation Army
The Salvation Army has returned to Sonoma, having recently reopened an office at 569 5th Street West. Volunteers can assist families in need of groceries, assemble and deliver special holiday food boxes, or grab a bell and ring for donations. Contact Barbara Lemos at 996.4761.

Secret Santa
Take part by selecting a gift heart from the Secret Santa trees displayed at one of these local businesses: Friedmans, Mary’s Pizza Shack, McLea’s Tire Center, or Parkpoint Health Club, then shop for the requested item, wrap and return. There are plenty of other ways to assist with this program including sorting gifts, answering phones, wrapping, pick-up and delivery of gifts, and bicycle assembly. Contact 573-3399 x108 or [email protected].
