Tom Pizzica, the host of the Food Network’s show “Outrageous Foods,” paid a visit to Sonoma’s Taste of a Gyro food truck located outside Sonoma Old School at 1001 Broadway.
Pizzica was a finalist on the sixth season of The Next Food Network Star. Taste of a Gyro owner Dominic Sammarco was on hand to provide information on his very own style of Greek “hand food” while Pizzica was filmed inside the tiny trolley.
Taste of a Gyro serves traditional Greek gyros with either lamb, chicken or vegetable – all wrapped in a pita with fresh greens and sauces that range from the mild to the wild. A Greek salad is also an incredible bargain, served with or without meat and loaded with fresh veggies.
Taste of a Gyro is open Monday through Saturday. More information on when the segment will air will be forthcoming in The Sun.
