A smiling Yannick Phillips stands amid a crowd of protestors positioned at the top of Broadway on Saturday. The Sonoma rally, in solidarity with teachers, nurses, firefighters, students, police officers and others protesting in Wisconsin, is part of a national effort calling itself “Save the American Dream,” and organized by the Sonoma Valley Democratic Club to protest potential cuts to NPR, the EPA, food aid to hungry kids, clean energy research, Americorps and more.
