Lisa Hardy shows off a few squares designed for the annual community quilt, the featured raffle prize and primary fundraiser for the Glen Ellen Village Fair. Volunteer quilters have until March 31 to contribute to the 20-year tradition. The theme is historic Glen Ellen: old, buildings, bridges, parks, creeks, landmarks, wineries, etc. Squares should be 13” by 13,” pre-washed cotton, with no paints or embellishments. Extra squares will be used to make pillows for runner-up prizes. Other volunteers will the stitch together the quilt for an unveiling at the Mothers Day Pancake Breakfast on May 8. For more information call Hardy at 996-9305.
