And the wooden spoon goes to…

The competition was fierce during the recent Iron Chef Cooking Camp held at the Hidden Oak Bed & Breakfast. After a week of hands-on learning the two teams of chef-campers created an appetizer, an entrée and a dessert using “mystery” ingredients given to them as they entered the kitchen on the morning of the competition.  The idea – turn the elements into something delectable for a panel of hungry judges.  In the end, only one team could prevail as the ultimate chef pair.  But according to camp hostess and Hidden Oak owner, Valerie Patterson, all the budding chefs worked hard and progressed in their cooking skills.  They are, pictured left to right:  (back row) Megan Neely, Valerie Patterson, Madeline Cline, Lucy Purdom, (front row) Leigh Jensen and Margaret Cline.
