“Seduction, rich, and complex,” are the three words musician John Legend uses to describe his new wine partnership with Jean-Charles Boisset.

This year, the two teamed up to create Legend Vineyard Exclusive – or simply known as LVE.

Legend is a Grammy, Oscar and Golden Globe winning singer, songwriter and philanthropist. Jean-Charles Boisset? Well, he owns Sonoma’s Buena Vista. (C’mon, you know Jean-Charles by now!)

Working with Raymond Vineyards winemaker Stephanie Putman, the two wine enthusiasts crafted a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon ($85) and a Napa Valley Chardonnay ($45).

“Legend Vineyard Exclusive was a dream long in the making,” shared Legend who has collaborated with Boisset before. The two surprised audiences at last year’s Auction Napa Valley when Legend performed his song “All of Me”. The performance raised $850,000 for local charities (let’s get some of that celeb action in Sonoma next year, right!?).

“As with my music, I searched for the right collaborator, a vineyard whose pursuit of the perfect blend and standards of excellence equaled my own,” stated Legend, who is known for being a perfectionist, much like his winemaking partner, Boisset.

The wine is all about “his passion, his love, and his emotion,” shared Boisset, on the collaboration and what it symbolizes for Legend. Legend calls it a “perfect union.”

This isn’t Boisset’s first go around with celebrity winemaking – in 2008 he partnered with comedian Dan Aykroyd to create the Dan Aykroyd Discovery Series under the Sonoma-county based De Loach Vineyards, also owned by Boisset.

But, how is the wine? We don’t know just yet, but, we’ll be sure to let you know (or you let us know, first!).

You can purchase the wines online at LVEwines.com or try them at Raymond Vineyards, 849 Zinfandel Ln, St. Helena, raymondvineyards.com.
