Frozen foods recalled due to Listeria

A major mandatory nationwide food recall has been announced for frozen fruit and vegetables produced by Pasco, Washington-basd CRF Frozen Foods..

The reason for the recall is Listeria – a bacteria that can cause serious (and sometimes fatal) infections in children, elderly, and others with weakened immune systems.

Seven people from three states have been hospitalized due to Listeria. Please take a precaution and return the frozen foods to where you purchased them for reimbursement.

These foods were sold at our local Whole Foods and Safeway, and at nearby Costco and Trader Joe’s.
