It was 116 years ago to the day, and it’s still ‘The Big One’ — the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake. These photos of the aftermath of the quake and fire are from an album given to William Muray’s grandfather 114 years ago.
Murray, of Glen Ellen, is recently retired as the long-time proprietor of William’s Auto Care Center in Boyes Hot Springs. He’s well known as well as an avid photographer, documenting Sonoma Valley events, fundraisers and scenes, from the 2017 wildfires to the Fourth of July Parade.
