Once a Niner, always a Niner

It figures that General Mariano Vallejo would be a San Francisco 49er fan — he lived and prospered through the actual Gold Rush of 1849.

Now in permanent repose in Sonoma Plaza, he sported San Francisco colors for opening day of the NFL season.
