Multiple rescues by Sheriff’s Department in Annadel State Park

Yesterday evening, the Sheriff’s Helicopter “Henry-1” completed two rescues inside of Trione-Annadel State Park. H1 was initially dispatched to a mountain biker down in the vicinity of Steve’s Trail and Richardson Trail. Ground based rescuers located the patient and began patient care. H1’s TFO/EMT extracted the patient, via 200 foot long line, as well as a Santa Rosa Fire Dept. paramedic, from the scene and to an awaiting ambulance.

As H1 was completing the first rescue, a second unrelated mountain biker was reported down in the vicinity of the South Burma Trail. H1 searched for and located the patient a short time later. H1’s TFO/EMT long lined to the patient and initiated patient care. The patient and H1’s TFO/EMT were subsequently extracted, again via 200 foot long line, to an awaiting ambulance. Both patients were transported to a local area hospital.
