Hog wild for FFA

A variety of pigs were being weighed at Sonoma High’s farm facility this week, in preparation for their delivery to the Sonoma County Fair. Mark Neves, in his junior year and a member of the Future Farmers of America (FFA) program explained that each animal must weigh in over 220 pounds to qualify. He pointed out three pig types being raised, Spotted, Dark Cross, and Blacks. The FFA program currently includes 17 students, all learning about raising and caring for livestock.
