Sonoma’s newest “SaveStation” Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) has been placed at the outdoor sports complex near the Sonoma Valley High School football field.
The District and Sonoma Valley Education Foundation partnered with the Just1Mike Foundation to acquire the unit, one of which was used recently in a dramatic life-saving emergency on the school basketball courts.
Members of the Sonoma Valley Fire Department, Emergency Medical Services, and Sonoma Valley Hospital were also on hand for the August 25 dedication.
At the dedication, School District Superintendent Adrian Palazuelos said, “We are truly fortunate to have such a wonderful connection between our schools and our public safety and medical community! I want to especially thank Kristy Brindley, president of the Just1Mike Foundation and an amazing friend to our school district, for her unwavering commitment to this effort.”
